DIY I Chews You Valentines

HAPPY 2020!!
It's hard to believe this is my first post of the new year but I was traveling last month and putting away Christmas decorations (lol, yes that's my excuse) so we're starting off 2020 with a Valentine's Day DIY! I've always loved this February holiday and I've made an effort to give out valentines to girlfriends each year! This year, I have several easy DIYs to share with you so be sure to check back before the big day if you're looking for some cute v-day ideas! <3

Who doesn't love receiving something thoughtful from their girlfriend, bestie, coworker, etc?! I decided to kick off the month with these "I Chews You" gum valentines that are perfect for anyone in your life! These take just about no time to make but will your loved ones' hearts BUBBLE! Read on for the super simple tutorial and check back later this week for more Valentines Day DIYs!

Supplies:
  • Mini Containers with Lids - I ordered these from Oriental Trading
  • I Chews You printout
  • Coated Gum - I recommend buying the unwrapped pieces with the hard outer shell
  • Paint Pen - I switched to a black paint pen (easier to read than the pink)
  • Scissors
  • Tape
  • Parchment Paper - To line the inside of the containers

Step One: Check the measurements of your clear container and print out "I Chews You" in the font of your choice! Feel free to skip this step if you prefer to freehand! Cut out your circle and tape to the inside of the lid. Leave a little excess tape for easy removal!

Step Two: Flip the container lid to the front. Following the directions on your paint pen, trace the letters onto the clear plastic surface. Let dry and remove the paper from the other side. Cut out a piece of parchment paper to fit the bottom of your container and fill with gum!
Pass these out to everyone you know ;)

I hope you enjoyed this sugar-free valentine!
Sending love to you from Minnesota!

XOXO, Karly
