DIY Doodle Bear Costume

It's the Weekend!
I'm bringing a last minute costume for the 90s kids out there! Who remembers doodle bears?! I loved drawing on my bear and asking my mom to wash it so I had a fresh canvas for all of my doodles! Even if you didn't have one of these bears, I hope this costume brings you some nostalgia! It's so easy to create and you can personalize it to make it your own!
Read on for all of the details:
Supplies:
  • Cotton T-Shirt - I chose blue because my doodle bear was denim!
  • Free Template
  • Puffy Fabric Paint - I bought these at Michaels!
  • Headband
  • Tape
  • Pen

Step One: Print off the free template onto white card stock. Cut out the heart and stars unless you are going to freehand your own shapes.

Step Two: Trace your shapes or freehand with a pen before adding paint.
Once you've drawn your shapes, add paint in varying colors. I let the paint dry for a couple of hours before putting on the shirt!

Step Three: Cut out the bear ears and attached to the headband by folding over the tap and taping it to itself! Put on your shirt and your bear ears and you're all set for any costume contest!!

XOXO, Karly
