DIY Candy Buttons Tote

Happy Weekend!!
I hope you are having nice weather on this Sunday! I'm currently in Chicago but working on a couple of blog posts before we go out to dinner! Thanks for those of you who sent me recommendations via Instagram!
Anyway, today's DIY is a throwback to a classic sweet treat: candy buttons!! This DIY is a simple way to add a some fun to a tote or reusable grocery bag!
Full tutorial and free printable below:

Supplies:
  • White Canvas Tote Bag
  • Acrylic Paint - Blue, Yellow, and Orange
  •  Free Template
  • Paint Sponge Brushes
  • Scissors
  • Ruler

Step One: Print off the free template and cut out the circles. Cut the template so that just the circles show. This will make it easier to paint and space out your rows of circles.

Step Two: Place your template at the top of your tote. Set your ruler next to the tote so you can estimate each row of circles. Dab your paint brush sponge into the orange acrylic paint and dot around the inside of the circle. Repeat across the row until all of the white space in the circles is filled.

Step Three: Move your template down to the center of the tote. Use your ruler to estimate so that the three rows are evenly spaced. Repeat the painting method in step three with the yellow paint.
Add in your third row of circles with blue paint.
Let dry before using your newly improved tote bag!

I hope you have a sunny week!! :)

XOXO, Karly
