DIY Present Pun-Kins!!

Hello Hello!! Today I am so excited to be sharing this DIY that I've been dreaming up for months!!
As you may know, Halloween is one of my absolute favorite holidays (tied with Christmas) so it's pretty much on my mind year round! Oh, and speaking of Christmas, why not combine two of my favorite things into one DIY?! I made these DIY Present Pun-kins with some funny Halloween puns wrapped up into a little pumpkin present! Read on for the full tutorial and the free printable! :)

Supplies:
  • Colored Craft Pumpkins - I bought these from Michaels and then spray painted them. Paint tutorial here
  • Pun-kin Tag Free Printable Print this onto thick card stock
  • Ribbon - I used different size ribbon depending on how big the pumpkin was. Also, you'll need thin white ribbon for hanging the tags.
  • Hole Punch
  • Scissors
  • Hot Glue Gun - This is preferable but you can also use the clear tape
  • Clear Tape

Step One: Print off the free printable onto thick, white card stock (I printed mine out at OfficeMax). Cut out each tag around the colored outline.

Step Two: Use your hole punch to make a hole in the top, center of each tag. String the thin, white ribbon through the top and leave enough ribbon to tie a knot and hang halfway down your pumpkin.

Step Three: * You can use clear tape or hot glue for this step. When I redid this project, I used hot glue and thought it turned out a little nicer*
Take your thick ribbon and wrap it around half of the pumpkin. Tape or glue the first side near the pumpkin stem and cut the ribbon to fit the other side. Repeat this step on the other side of the pumpkin.

Step Four: * You can use clear tape or hot glue for this step. When I redid this project, I used hot glue and thought it turned out a little nicer*
Take your tag and make sure the knotted portion of the ribbon is on the opposite side of the tag. Tape or glue the knot to the back of the pumpkin stem.

That's it!!
I hope you enjoyed this DIY and had a few laughs reading through the puns! :D

I'd love to see your completed projects! Tag me on Instagram and use the hashtag #KPApreps !!

XOXO, Karly
