DIY Polka Dot Vase

Happy End of Summer!!
I'm posting a couple of fun DIYs before I completely switch over to fall mode!!
I made this Ombre Polka Dot vase to add some color to my kitchen! As you know, I love the color pink! You can recreate this vase with any color you'd like! Check out the full tutorial below :)

Supplies:
  • Glass Circular Vase - I found this one at the dollar store
  • Free Polka Dot Template
  • Pink Acrylic Paint
  • White Acrylic Paint
  • Circular Sponge Paint Brushes
  • Foam Paint Brush
  • Tape
  • Paper Plate/Paper towels - Any supplies you'll need for painting

Step One: Print off the free template and roll it to fit inside the vase, with the polka dots facing out. Tape the edges of the paper together and tape to the inside of the vase.

Step Two: Pour your colored paint onto the paper plate and decide what shade you'd like each row of polka dots. I used the pink color for the bottom row and gradually added more white for each row towards the top.

Step Three: Dip a round sponge into the paint and line it up with the circle on the  template. Complete the bottom row with your first color before moving onto the next row. Repeat until all polka dots are filled in.
If you make a mistake, quickly remove paint with a wet paper towel.

Let your vase dry before adding in your favorite flowers!! :)

I hope you enjoyed this colorful DIY!!

XOXO, Karly
