DIY Confetti Luggage Tag!

Who Loves to Travel?!
Having two parents in the airline industry has given me the opportunity to travel more than I would have been able to otherwise! One of my favorite trips every year is heading down to sunny Florida while it's still snowing in Minnesota. I just booked my trip for the spring so I (of course) had to make a DIY for it!
Continue reading on to learn how to make your own DIY Confetti Luggage Tag!!!

  • Clear Vinyl - You can find this at most fabric stores. I purchased 1/4 yard and had more than enough.
  • Free Luggage Template - Click the link and print this out!!
  • Confetti - Purchase some confetti or make your own using a hole punch and brightly colored paper!
  • Scissors
  • X-Acto/Craft Knife
  • Pen
  • Clear Tape - Preferably the gift wrap tape
  • Luggage Tag Band - Take this off another luggage tag or use some parachute cord (from Michaels).

Step One: Print off the free luggage tag template and cut out. Trace onto the clear vinyl. You may need to trace a few times to make sure the line is dark enough to see while cutting out. Don't forget to trace the center holes - you will need these to attach your tag to your luggage.
* Note, your center holes will be on opposite sides of the picture below! *

Step Two: Cut out your vinyl. If you need to retrace, lay the template over the viny and carefully do so. Use the X-Acto knife to cut out the center holes. Cut out the second rectangle on the template - this will be used to hold your name tag.

Step Three: Unfortunately the glue would not hold the tag together so please use tape for this step! Fold the tag in half so the holes meet up at the top. Tape the left and right side shut, leaving the top open to fill with confetti. Line up your extra piece of vinyl with the bottom of the tag and tape all three sides (excluding the top). This will be used to hold your name tag.
Fill the top of the bag tag with confetti (the open end above the holes) and seal shut with tape.
* I will add pictures of this step this weekend!! *

Step Four: Add a luggage tag band or some parachute cord and attach your new bag tag to your luggage!!

Enjoy your Trip!!

XOXO, Karly
