Candyland was by far my favorite game when I was kid. I remember being so scared of Lord Licorice but being OBSESSED with Princess Lolly!! Wasn't she the cutest?
I made this super cute costume (complete with princess crown) so you can channel your favorite board game character this Halloween!
Supplies:
- Tutu
- Crown
- Circular Foam Coasters - Or you can use regular foam cut into circles
- Colored Foam
- Colored Plastic Straws
- Scissors
- Duct Tape
- Hot Glue Gun
- Pen
Step One: Trace your foam coaster onto a different color of foam. If you do not have a foam coaster, trace the bottom of a coffee mug or bowl. Cut out the circle(s).
Make sure to use two different colors for the two circles if you are not already using a coaster!
Step Two: Cut the foam circle into a swirl by rotating the circle as you cut towards the center. Once you have a swirl, take your scissors and start to cut into the swirl to make it thinner.
Step Three: Hot glue the swirl onto the bottom circle. I put a decent sized dot in the center and then a few smaller dots under the rest of the swirl.
Step Four: Cut the straw in half to be used as the stem of the lollipop. Duct tape the straw to the back of the coaster.
Step Five: Duct tape each lollipop to the top side of the tutu. Make sure to you use enough duct tape so that they stick all night.
Grab a crown and you're good to go!
I hope you liked making this costume!
Grab all of your girlfriends and make these with different colored tutus for a group costume!!
XOXO, Karly
