What to Pack for International Flights

I hope everyone has had a wonderful week so far!
I just got back from an amazing trip to Sweden so I am catching up on some projects and sleep!

I wanted to share a few of my international travel tips now that I have made the trek to Europe a few times times over the past couple of years.

Below are a few things I would recommend bringing if you are heading on an international trip!

Passport - Okay, this one may seen obvious but don't forget to check your passport's expiration date when you book your trip. Some countries will not let you travel if you don't have at least 6 months from your departure date. Also, I found this super cute, HOT PINK passport cover at TJMaxx! They have the BEST travel accessories.

A Good Book - With most international flights, an entertainment system is provided in the system. However, 7 hours of wearing headphones and starting at a TV screen can be a little much for me. This is why I always bring a good book in my carry-on that will keep me entertained and distracted from any unexpected turbulence.
P.S. I absolutely recommend the book LA Candy by Lauren Conrad! I could not put it down. If you've ever watched an episode of Laguna Beach or The Hills, I think you will feel the same!
Mints/Gum -  Okay this one is more important than I realized because even though I made myself a nice list before the trip, I completely forgot my mints and gum on the kitchen table! I ended up spending $8 on gum at the airport on our European layover. There's just something about eating and sleeping on an airplane that make me crave something minty.

Comfy Socks - I love having comfy socks on hand for long flights! I'm the kind of person who will sit cross-legged in any chair but I also don't want to be the smelly airplane passenger! As soon as I take off my shoes, I cover my feet with a pair of fuzzy socks.

Lip Balm - It must have something to do with the altitude but I find myself applying a moisturizer to my lips more often on a plane than anywhere else (other than maybe post-dentist appointment, LOL)! I always make sure I have something handy before takeoff.

Water Bottle/Snacks - I try to bring a water bottle with me to fill up after walking through security. I don't know about you but avoiding paying $4 for a water at the airport just feels like a win to me! I feel the same way about plane snacks. These Brookside chocolates are so yummy!!

That's all for my tips today!

XOXO, Karly
